Detroit Auto Show 2012

NAIAS

Just as we did last year Amber and myself hopped into the car and headed towards the Motor City. It was time once again to check out the North American International Auto Show. This years show was no disappointment. I even heard that Saturdays opener had record setting attendance compared to the previous 5 years. Of course it is no secret the Detroit Auto Show has hundreds of cars on display from many different manufactures. From concept cars to next year's models there are no shortage of cool and [More...]

Don’t Choose Peoples Names For A Tattoo!

Don't choose peoples names for a tattoo!

I heard this story while listening to my favorite radio station and thought it was kind of interesting. A guy is dating this woman for some time. She is of German descent and he eventually gets the German version of her name tattooed on his chest. Unfortunately things go downhill soon after that and the two eventually break up. A few weeks later he meets another woman. The two hit it off pretty good and the new girlfriend questions him about his tattoo. Embarrassed about that he tells his girlfriend that is [More...]

Friday Flash 55 – Zip It!

Friday Flash 55

People say I talk too much, I doubt that's the case. They say "hush", "quiet" or "shut your face"! Others may say "put a cork in it". I don't understand and it's giving me a fit. A friend shouted "zip it" as I grabbed a chair and sat. After realizing the truth I did just that. [More...]

The Cowboy Boots

Cowboy Boots

(Anyone who has ever dressed a child will love this one!) Did you hear about the Texas teacher who was helping one of her kindergarten students put on his cowboy boots? He asked for help and she could see why... Even with her pulling and him pushing, the little boots still didn't want to go on. By the time they got the second boot on, she had worked up a sweat. She almost cried when the little boy said, 'Teacher, they're on the wrong feet.' She looked, and sure enough, they were. It wasn't any [More...]

A Serious Man Review

A Serious Man

I can't believe it. I go to Blockbuster and pick up this movie. Reading the back of the box it sounded pretty good. The movie is based on the Jewish faith and I confess I found that aspect a little confusing at times. Outside of that the movie focuses on the day to day trials and tribulations of the basic family man. Bad fortune is abound for the main character Larry Gopnik. His delinquent son runs up a big Columbia House bill behind his back that he must pay or face court action. He has an unreasonable [More...]

Mini Lasagna Cups

Mini Lasagna Cups

By chance I stumbled across this recipe for Mini Lasagna Cups just the other day. Not only did this look great but it seemed easy enough to make. I am by no means chef Ramsey but I figure I could tackle this project without too much trouble. You should take note that while their recipe called for wonton wrappers I couldn't find any at my local super market. I substituted those instead with Barilla lasagna noodles. These are the flat style not the wavy in a slightly shorter box. To make the noodles [More...]
